When I first arrived as pastor of St. Peter, I was repeatedly told one thing: "Our church is like a family." Now that I've been here, I can attest to this statement. However, St. Peter is more than just a church that feels like a family. According to 1 John 3, we are a family. As we receive the love of Christ through His Word and Sacraments, God makes us His children. Thus, St. Peter really is a family of brothers and sisters in Christ.
